Becky, my low-C b.c. was made in 1962 when I was living in Paris. It
was not a common model at that time and, as I remember, I had to wait
about 6 months for it to be built. Since that time, it has become
much more available and I believe that they can now be bought off
the shelf.

At that time, the D, D-flat, and C were all controlled by a specific
key in the right thumb. Judging from what you have told me, they
learned a lot since 1962, because my key arrangement is inconsistent
with technical requirements.
