34.33 hz? 27th harmonic?! Do you mean it was low in frequency or low
in amplitude? Very confusing statement.... 34.33 sounds like an extremely
low fundamental, not harmonic! Also, how did you KNOW that it was a
27th harmonic? Other questions, what kind of microphone were you using?
Few mics or analyzers are flat down to 35 hz. Most show a drop off of
6 db or more. Many questions! Would like to know more about methodology,
equipment used, etc. Also, am curious to know how common it is for
schools of music to possess and know how to use such equipment for analyzing
and studying instruments. Such procedures would do much to alleviate
Dan Leeson's concerns about objective/subjective criteria for discussing,
analyzing sound.
