Tom,
I would try all the different types of clarinets. I have a Buffet r-13
which I really love. But a colleague(sp?) of mine owned a Yamaha A clarinet and
she sounded amazing. So the only thing I can tell you, is to make sure that
you try a lot of different instruments.
