I must add a comment, though, we younger players here are so preoccupied
with sound because it had been ingrained in our heads (and rightfully so, in my
opinion) that IF YOU DON'T SOUND GOOD, NOBODY WILL LISTEN TO YOU. You can
have fingers like lightning, the musicality that could make a stone man cry,
but if your tone stinks, you're going nowhere.
Just my opinion based on my learnings!
