Say that you play in recital a Lefebvre Sonata from opus 12 (with a hpschd),
Debussy Rhapsodie, Hindemith Sonata, Stravisnky Three Pieces and the Brahms
opus 120 no. 1. What of the tonal characteristics for the works in question?
I am not offering this comment for argument--that scares me a bit about the
list--I ask just to get some ideas. When I studied with Alan Hacker (RAM)
back in the early 70's he went on and on about these questions. It was very go
od for me back then and it still is valid.
