This note is a response to Diana's comments on sound and air. I agree
with your teacher emphatically about the importance of air quality.
A past teacher told me that the the air is the sound. The reed changes
the vibrations of the air to produce the tone. Doesn't it make sense
that the quality of air stream one puts through the instrument should
have a major effect on tone?
