There is a video tape available from the Woodwind (1-800-348-5003)
VAVRMG $19.95. by Musician Michael Skinner on selecting the perfect
reed and Mouthpiece. Actually, it is a seminar he conducted for Van
Doren that includes slides showing how reed is grown, stored, cut, and
processed, shipped by Van Doren as well as Skinners discussion on
ways of selecting, touching up reeds out of the box, rotation, etc.

You might find it of interest... I learned a lot from it and it helped
my perspective on the overall issue of finding the perfect reed!
