If anybody out there really believes that the motivation for being a
performer is in the money, I believe they're sadly mistaken. Bravo to
Diana Cassar for the comments about what music REALLY is. Music is life.
Music is love. Music is sadness. Music is fulfillment. Music is reality.
Music is different things to different people but, the motivation behind
it is not money. If you're so concerned about making money, study something
else. I'd rather live below the poverty level and know that I'm happy
pursuing my art than make $30K a year at a boring office job with nothing
to show for my personal goals and aspirations but, a house and a car. What
are material possessions compared to inner peace and happiness. You'll
always wonder if you could have been one of those 200 people in a major
symphony. Talent and education are not the only components to a musician.
Determination, Drive, Desire, Fire and Passion are the most important ones.
It doesn't matter how many degrees you have or who you studied with, if you
want it bad enough, you can have it. Open your mind and your soul to music.
Only when you are fully committed to it will you even have a chance to succeed.

Live the dream, you're the only one who can make it happen,
