Hi! I think I can answer your question. I did a history paper last year
on what did Mozart originally wrote. He first wrote the exposition of the
clarinet concerto in G for basset horn, however he never finished it.
But, he wrote the concerto in A for the Basset clarinet. I can back to
you on some really interesting articles at a later time. I also really
enjoyed writing this paper, it makes a great history paper.
