In the music world today it is almost impossible to be specific with your
goals at the collegiate level. It basically comes down to whether you want to
play, teach, or combine it with another field. Of course we all have our
ideal situations and we should never stop striving for them. Its most
important, however, to be true to yourself. To be in music simply for
the passion you have for it. If the passion is strong enough it will
never steer you wrong. My personnal dream would be to play in an
orchestra somewhere, and then later use that experience to teach at the
college level. I will work as hard as I can to acheive this, but I'm
keeping all my options open. When it comes right down to it I'll take
the best offer I get. Whether that be a elementary general music teacher
or the clarinet player in the Warners Brothers Orchestra, I will find
some way to make and share music.

Good luck to all,
SAM
