MY suggestion regarding tone is to get a very good image in your head
of exactly wht you want your tone to be. Then, hear that sound in your head
everytime you play...I know it sounds strange, but a mental picture can help
more than you imagine. >Another suggestion is to blend with people around
you...my sound got tons better after sitting beside an incredible player for
a year. Reeds, mnouthpiece, and set-up also have to be ideal, but I know
you, Shannon, have been struggling with these for some time now and you
are likely to be pretty frustrated! Good luck, and let me know what works.
