My teacher Howard Klug plays on the new Leblanc Opus. He claims that even
though the bore of the Concerto and Opus are the same, the sound is more
substantial on the Opus. Perhaps it has something to do with the silver
keys? I believe the question is not whether or not it is better than the
R-13 is not the issue, but whether the extra $1000 is worth the difference.
I think it is and am planning to buy one as soon as I raise the cash. If
the instruments are good enough for Larry Combs, Elsa Ludwig-Verdehr and
Eddie Daniels, they are probably good enough for anybody!
