How about the Sonata for klarinet og klaver of Flemming Weis? It was written
for and with Aage Oxenvad and not given much US time. Or you could consider
Per Jort Albertsen's Sonatina or the Sonata of Jon Thorarinsson of Iceland.
The Icelander's sonata was premiered by Keith Wilson back in 1947 I believe.
These are pieces worth looking into.
