Hello Michael from Oberlin. I am an Oberlin grad here at Indiana U. Is
Mr. McD. teaching mouthpiece refacing now? I also studied reed making
there and made some incredible reeds, one in fact played the best high G
at the end of Beethoven 8 that I have ever done. Alas, time seems to be
everybody's problem for making reeds. I keep telling myself when I finish
my schooling at get a job that I will finally have some time to make reeds.
From the sounds of it however, those of you are employed seem to have the
same time problems. Maybe when Vandoren finally prices themselves out of
affordability I will have more incentive to start. Michael, tell hello
to Mr and Mrs McDonald for me.
