I have something else to ask on the topic of this life-long journey. Do you
think that it matters how you store the reeds? Do you think that if you store
them a particular way, the life expectency can be longer? I used to place my
reeds in the blue Vandoren cases and after a while they started to mold! Then
I bought a Tupperware container and put my reeds on a piece of plexi-glass with
a rubber band holding them on and I put them in the container. I can't figure
out what my problem is. I'm tempted to start making my own reeds, but being
a sophomore in college I have other things to worry about also. BUT, if some
people can make the reeds work for them, I don't see how I can't get them to
work for me. Please write back, if you have any input on how you adjust your
reeds.
