I have been playing the clarinet for 6 years, and I still haven't found the
perfect reed. I am currently playing a Mitchell-Laure 3 1/2, but it plays badly
in the high and low registers, and halfway decently in the middle register. On
top of that, it wears out extremely fast.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am also interested in knowing more about these new non-wood reeds. Are they
any good?
