My name is Michael Norsworthy. I'm an second year undergrad student of Elsa
Ludewig-Verdehr at Michigan State U.

Buffet R13 Bb #327391
Buffet R13 A #254455

Robert Scott Barrels 67aa on Bb; 65aa on A

Charles Bay mouthpiece copy of Elsa Verdehr's mouthpiece with a Chedeville
chamber instead of a Kaspar chamber. (He calls this the H2 series mouthpiece)

Robert Scott ligature (modeled after the Bonade reverse with the middle cut
out)

Vandoren V12 #4 reeds, and when these start to hit a slump I switch to Glotin
GIII series #3 1/2. I find the Glotin reeds have more meat to them than the
Vandoren, particularly at the tip of the reed. The only major difference
between the two is the articulation. The Vandoren reeds, for me, seem to have
ncerned!!

I do quite a bit of chamber music playing as well as orchestral stuff. Next
year I'm going towards the soloist route as I have concerts lined up in various
places. I have to agree with Dr. Spring though as far as the barrels are
concerned. They bring so many things right in tune, particularly the 12ths.
I'm also convinced about Robert Scott's ligatures. They give a greater
response, more depth is sound, and seem to make fussing with reeds a little bit
easier.

That's all for now!!

Thanks,

Michael
