Robert Scott 66aa Barrel
Pyne Mouthpiece WS facing (from about 1983)
Kaspar (Ann Arbor) ligature. A soft metal ligature similar to the Bay
ligatures now made
Hand made reeds from Donati tube cane
Many of my students play on the Scott Barrels. I am sold on the effect
that thay have on pitch. They seem to bring the 12ths in better than any
others that I have used and are pretty consistant. I am also convinced
about hand made reeds. Although I make mine from scratch without the reed
dual, I encourage my students to make their own or use the machine to make
store bought reeds better.
