Well, the St. Olaf Clarinet Choir will be playing a full concert in
Lake Crystal (or is it Crystal Lake?), Minnesota, on the evening of
May 1. Selections to be performed by the full choir, bass quartet,
basset horn duet, soprano quartet, soprano solo with piano, and
soprano solo with full choir accompaniment. Not sure what exactly
we're playing, as my list is up in my room, but ones I remember are
_Allegro_ from Brandenburg Concerto #3 (Bach), and "Mississippi Rag"
by Frackenpohl (I think). I myself will hopefully be playing in a
contemporary trio with soprano sax and cello; of course, can't
remember the name of the piece (jeez, only 19 and already losing it :)
My jury piece for this semester will be _Le Pionnier_ by Cailliet;
that is, if I can get my upper register in working order. Oh, and the
Enraged Outcasts, a.k.a. the bass clarinet section of the St. Olaf
Band, might play "The Incredible Shrinking Clarinet" for Dr. Polley :)
