Do a: TELL LISTSERV AT VCCSCENT INDEX
and a: TELL LISTSERV AT VCCSCENT INDEX VCCNET
to see what's available. Other files can be added.
Our LISTSERV does not support FTP but BITNET users can retrieve files
with messages and notes, Internet users can retrieve files with notes.
The TELL command generates a message. The MAIL and NOTE commands
generate notes.

The LISTSERV runs on a machine at J.Sgt.Reynolds Community College
in Richmond. 'our state network' is the Virginia Community College
System which includes the 23 community colleges that are in Virginia.
Northern Virginia Community College is the largest, Eastern Shores
Community College is the smallest. There are 5 sites with main frame
computers, 4 sites are in the colleges and are called regional sites.
Each regional site supports 1 to 10 colleges. There is one
administrative site which ties the regional sites together and is
used for a service and test center. The regional sites are:
Central region based at J.Sgt.Reynolds Community College, Richmond.
Eastern region based at Tidewater Community College, Portsmouth.
Northern region based at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale.
Western region based at Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke.
The service and test center is in Richmond, on the other side of
town from J.Sgt.Reynolds Community College.

All 23 colleges have terminals and printers. Most of the
terminals are now PCs and many of the PCs are now on LANs.
