As a new member of the list, I'm curious to find out about
its "culture." Are there any threads which occur repeatedly
and bring groans from old hands? Are there threads which
occur repeatedly and generate new, interesting discussion
every time? Is there consensus on anything? (foolish
question on Usenet, I know)

I'd be interested in hearing any list "lore" that old hands
can share.
