Finally tried Vandoren V-12 reeds (#4) after seeing them mentioned on this
list. Think they are great, and so , dragged out my old Kaspar mouthpiece &
put away my Oliveri Tempered #4's and mouthpiece made for it. In measuring
both reeda with a perfecta reed gauge, dimensions are almost identical, but
Vandoren cane is clearly more dense & has finer fibres and less pith Tom
arundo donax plants show some signs of growth, hope they make it through the
winter.
