Wayne, also check that the clarinets are not leaking at the pads. Try covering
the holes and stopping the end of top & bottom joint individually. Whilst cover
ing everything, suck the air out (earthy business!) to see if air leaks in thru
pads. Some people also try blowing air forcefully this way, to test for leakin
g pads.
