Fibrecane has always been a controversial subject amongst clarinettists. I'm
not aware of any recent experiments on them, except that rosario mazzeo, in
his final years as clarinetist with the boston orchestra, claimed that he used
them. mostly they work best on the larger clarinets, thou i didn't use them
when a clarinettist with the north carolina symphony. any thoughts, all?
