Making sax necks---every one is different!

Simple answer: I just make sure each one is good, has a nice character and performance, just like I would with a mouthpiece, and let the customer decide if he likes it. They will all perform flexibly and with good tone and great altissimo, but each one will be different.

The tiniest thing will make one play differently from another, and I feel that if go to excessive lengths to make each one the same, I am losing quality in many of them, so I get the most out of each one that I can, and let the customer decide which one he likes. Of course they are all mine and all play within expected ranges, and are obviously not a ______, but a HEISIG, but will have ever so slight differences---THE BRASS IS JUST NEVER THE SAME!
