Date: Wed, 30 Sep 2009 13:27:06 -0400

Dear List
At the risk of boring you, we are /-I am continuing to organize our first flute-oboe and basson festival for November.Among the problems, the main host tells me, is explaining to the layman or woman what is an oboe or bassoon?
With a violin we can say that Einstein and Sherlock Holmes and Paganini played it.Piano--Rubinstein.
Oboe? The Mission(film) .Bassoon--Dona Flora and her Two Husbands.
If only some famous person in real-life or fiction could be associated with our beloved instruments.Or have I forgotten someone?
Awaiting your replies.

Best,

Harold Emert
Rio-Brazil
