Be very careful. There is a supposed historic contrabassoon that is
perennially being offered for sale on the internet. The purported owner
apparently owns only a photograph of an instrument, not the instrument
itself. Naturally, they want the money up front, and that's the last
you'll ever hear from them. I think the "contrabassoon" has already
been sold several times.

Sorry to have to be so cynical. At least, it would be wise to exercise
extreme caution.
