Actually, I remember when most of the industry with which I'd come into
contact thought I was at least a little "insane" for thinking I could use a
CAD program to design my shaper tips.
They're still not on the market, so I still can't really feel like I've
crossed any sort of "finish line." But I do know it CAN be done, now.
I have to admit that, while it often seems as if only an insane person could
think they can change the world, the ones who actually DO manage to change
it are often the ones who are crazy enough to think they could.
Apologies for use of what really seems to be the wrong word ("scrape"). I
also hope that my post didn't seem excessive nor insulting.
The sound of the reed was nearly such that I'd usually tend to prefer the
sound of a good fire alarm or smoke detector. LOL
Its layout also seemed bizarre and definitely contrary to anything that
seems at all logical, based on my experience with the only scrape with which
I'm familiar.
Kevin
