Subj: [DR-L] World Premiere of a New Oboe Concerto

Dear List Members,

in next year's concert season the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra under its
chief conductor Rudolf Piehlmayer will give the first performance of a new
Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra by Swiss composer DAVID PHILIP HEFTI (see
http://www.davidphiliphefti.com/index.htm ; the date of the Augsburg
performance is given here wrong by one day, though). Our soloist will be
THOMAS INDERM=DCHLE, and the performance will be part of one of the
orchestra's symphony concerts. The Hefti concerto will be placed in between
Wagner's "Meistersinger" Ouverture and Beethoven's 7th Symphony. The live
performance of the oboe concerto is supposed to be released on CD later on.
The scheduled date is April 26, 2009, at 8 pm, and the concert will be
repeated once more the following day at the same time. The concert will tak=

place in Augsburg's Kongresshalle, not very far from the main railroad
station.
