Thanks for this video. Very grand, indeed! Can the Atlanta Baroque
Orchestra afford it at the moment...no. Fundraisers always dream. Am I correct in
saying that this piece was at one time traditionally the grand finale of
EVERY IDRS convention?

*Very moving performance on 23 August 1991 of Handels Music for the Royal
Fireworks by a huge baroque band on period instruments, consisting of 24 oboes,
16 bassoons, 1 contra-bassoon, 9 trumpets, 9 horns, 3 pairs of timpani and 5
drums, conducted by Robert King.
How'd you like to have the job of being the one to find the cash to pay for
it? I'd think this would be very expensive in the US.
