My sympathies for your loss. When my mother passed away a few years ago I g=
ave some thought to whether or not I would want to play at her service. I t=
hink it would have been too difficult to not choke up. Besides, I don't thi=
nk anyone would really want to hear a bassoon piece. When a colleague passe=
d away our trumpet players declined to play taps because they didn't want t=
o risk getting too emotional. We brought a player in from out-of-town. =20
