Hi everybody!

I just bought a CD recorded by a bassoonist named Dirk Meijer.
Has anybody heard of him before?

Well, I cannot recommend it at all.

The sound is rather nice, but the intonation is quite bad.
And the playing is not great.
It reminds me of a certain Daniel S....

But the pianist is very good.

The only thing good about this CD is that I can listen to 2 pieces I
never heard before:
- the Bassoon Sonata by Julius Rontgen
- and the Concerto for bassoon (piano version) by Grondhal
