Forwarded; if you know Matt Sullivan, he is her teacher. Innovative
programming especially for synesthetes. Leslie joined our
community band when only a 7th grader and played until college.

Hi everyone,
I am announcing my upcoming recital - it is on Sunday, April
13 at 3 pm. As always, it's in Schare Recital Hall at Rutgers
University, and you can find directions at this link -
http://maps.rutgers.edu/directions.aspx?id=235.
The program is based on the Hartman personality test, which you can take
for free at www.thecolorcode.com. The test analyzes personality by
color (red=power, blue=intimacy, white=peace, and yellow=fun), so I
decided to structure my recital around these four color sections. There
are a lot of interesting instrument combinations (oboe and guitar, oboe
and accordion, oboe and boombox, etc.) and unusual pieces; although the
program looks really long, the pieces are all quite short. :)
For those who are interested, here's the actual program:
RED (POWER)
Alyssa Morris - Four Personalities: Red
Jacques Ibert - Ent'racte
Jacob ter Veldhuis - The Garden of Love
BLUE (INTIMACY)
Alyssa Morris - Four Personalities: Blue
Matt Sullivan - Intricate Simplicity
Alan Bush - Northumbrian Impressions
WHITE (PEACE)
Alyssa Morris - Four Personalities: White
J.S. Bach - Suite No. 1 for Solo Cello - I. Prelude
Ennio Morricone - Gabriel's Oboe
Astor Piazzolla - Tanti Anni Prima (Ave Maria)
Traditional - Danny Boy
YELLOW (FUN)
Alyssa Morris - Four Personalities: Yellow
Arthur Smith - Dueling Banjos
Grigoras Dinicu - Hora Staccato
Rene Dupere - Jeux d'Enfants
Hope to see you there!
~Leslie
