Happy Holidays back to you! Managing a baroque orchestra some/most days
trumps the bill paying and dusting the house/cleaning the toilet/putting a
gourmet meal on the table...do you really care? It's all about priorities and
votive candles. ;-)

Dear Listers:
Happy Easter and concurrently (!) Purim,the Jewish Carnival, to all those
who celebrate.(Usually Easter and Passover coincide...can't recall these two
coinciding!The g-ds are playing tricks on our calendar?)
While I'm in the festive mood,a question I always wanted to ask :how do you
double reed fanatics manage to do such mundane things as paying bills,going
to banks,mowing the grass,compiling files of bills to pay,when such
important things as making reeds and practicing for the next concert are on
the priority List?
Have been trying to reconcile real life(which is which?) and musical
activities since the mid- 20th century.Any suggestions?

PS--When he wasn't throwing chairs at students ,did Tabateau have to go to
banks,organize his bills ,etc ..This would be a good future article for the
IDRS magazine.
