Forgive the question, but I must ask this fundamental ... when their
anvils are lightly closed, are both micrometers absolutely zeroed? If
not, their sleeves may be rotated either way, using a supplied tool to
achieve zero. Otherwise, visit an engineering supplier and use them on
known thicknesses of feeler gauge. However, the closed test should be
proof enough. Zero is zero. Most unlikely their screw thread pitches
would differ over such a small dimension, no matter where they are made
or how cheap.
