Dear colleagues,
I am writing a proposal to start a scholarship undergraduate wind
quintet here at URI.
In order to attract a donor to fund this project, the development
office has
asked me to collect testimonials from colleges that have a student
quintet .
Would any of you that teach at ( or attend) a college or university
that has such a group ( either undergraduate or graduate level) be
willing to share your thoughts ?
I would be especially interested in comments relating to the impact a
quintet ( or any such ensemble) has on your department, your students
and your community.
Also, your answers to the following questions would be appreciated:
What percentage of tuition is granted to these students?
What is required of them as far as off-campus performances?
How frequently do they perform on campus?
Are the members re-auditioned yearly?

Thank you so much for your help
