They really are. I think it's largely due to all the exercise they get. I
found another group of people who are extremely likable and really enjoy
life... those who do heavy labor as part of their livelihood. I worked for
the Oberlin College Buildings and Grounds Department one summer and it was
an absolutely beautiful 3 months. The people, thou mostly quite uneducated,
where an absolute delight (if you could forgive their "political
incorrectness" at times. I shoveled gravel for 7 hours a day and when school
started back in the fall, my Alexander Technique teacher was really pleased
with my body "use", although I didn't really practice Alexander over the
summer.
