Well, there you have it. My information is first hand, not rumor or
supposition

playing nor do they include any footage of anyone--Mr. Crosby?--showing
him "how to play it." So either your friend is correct or Pitts has
been away from the instrument for so long he cannot muster a single
tone anymore."

Bob was disappointed when he watched the "making of" footage that he didn't
make it on camera.
