Dear List(s):
Would appreciate any advice from experienced hands on these Lists about
cutting--and pasting --music.
Am organizing presently a program of works by a composer who studied with
Haydn and who departed Vienna to live and work in Rio de Janeiro in the
early 1800s,or when the Portuguese Royal family fled Napoleon and
established their court in the tropics.(1808---we are celebrating the 200th
anniversary of their arrival this year)
I find the music written by this fine craftsman,S. Neukomm to be well
written but often too repetitive. But that's my opinion.
Have participated in operas where there are cuts but rarely in instrumental
works.
Help!

Rgds,

Harold Emert
