Sameer,
The one thing I could suggest is that while its a great idea to start young
players and developing players with a very round embouchure, for sake of not
biting to control pitch, at some point there has to be a bit of pressure.

With all of my students, I start them as a "round" embouchure and then have
them pull their lips inward, just ever so slightly, but still keeping the
general roundness. At this point, they have to experiment with a tuner in order
to find out just how much to "roll in" and how much pressure versus air to
push.

There was a great article in one of the double reed journals sometime ago
that was a great ven (?) diagram showing that air and embouchure pressure are
conversely (I think that is correct) related. As one increases, the other does
as well. Pardon me...its been too long since I have had advanced
mathematics/statistics to remember which kind of diagram I am talking about.

Nonetheless, try pulling your lips in ever so slightly towards your teeth. I
don't want to say flatten, because that is not what you should do, but there
is a certain amount of lip pressure that is needed to make the reed vibrate
at a certain point. I believe it has to do with the nodal vibration points in
the reed based on the structure of the reed. Make sense? Experiment with a
tuner to see just how much you have to pull the lips in away from that round
"oooo" in order to get those notes relatively up to pitch.

Hope this helps
Shwan
