Hey Harry,
Nice to hear from you.
I think the hornist is just playing the notes as fast as he can.
The last time I played it, I did try to flutter tongue, but it was so uneven, and I probably was not doing it correctly.
Have you had any experience with flutter tonguing. I have only seen it in the West Side Story part.
I just kind of flicked the reed with my tongue, do you know how it is done?
I can triple tongue, but not for very long and I am not sure I can keep it up for the time alloted in the Janacek.
What was he thinking:(
It is a great piece, nice dark colors.
It is for my College faculty quintet concert.
We are playing the Nielsen, Janacek and Danzo op. 56 #2
All good stuff for the quintet.
