Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me what is the metal "arm" thats on the F# key on the
oboe which when you press it touches the round metal part thats on the
upper joint thats right below the G key?
I'm getting my oboe serviced at Rigoutat and I wanna make sure they
know exactly which spot needs to be repaired. I'm not very familiar
with oboe body parts nor I speak French!!
Another spot needs attention is the 1st octave key. When I'm playing
2nd A or B and I go down to 2nd G I have to release the 2nd octave key
and press the 1st octave key I hear a clicking sound and I notice a
delay between the shift from the 2nd ocvate key to the first which
causes the sound to kinda drop. I think the 1st octave key gets sticky
icky to the hole. Is that the common problem of that keyhole being
sticky and needing cleaning? I just need to know what to tell them
exactly in plain simple English or Oboe term. so that they dont
misunderstand me :)
