When I first started playing the oboe all I was thinking about was
vibrato! How do you do it? From where do you do it? etc etc.... later
I learned a method of how to produce it. It worked! Though I have to
say that I found myself either focusing too much on bumping my stomach
or on the air stream which led me to get tired quickly and didnt want
to practise more!

Everyone seems to say the same thing about it, "IT WILL COME BY
ITSLEF!!!". So I stopped obssessing about it. Now when I play I can
hear it and feel it coming out by itself. On some notes it's just
barely there whereas on others it's so natural and beautiful.

What amazes me right now is that I can control it like a switch but I
have to say that sometimes when for example I wanna warm up and play
long notes it gets a tiny bit hard NOT to produce vibrato! I feel less
tense when i produce it. How ironic is that!!! heheh

Oh here is the latest gossip, I just found out that the British
Embassador in Kuwait is an oboist and performs in Kuwait!! Another
ironic thing!!!! I wonder if he gives private lessons lol

Happy Xmas shopping everyone :)
