Thanks for the words there. I hope hearing such things will cheer her
up. She was not a happy camper on Wednesday.

I think there is the start of some vibrato, but it is something that is
eluding her at the moment. I think some vibrato would make it sound even
more so. But, for playing oboe almost a year, it is quite good.

I've not heard of this "expert" person before. I teach and live in an
area where everyone is an "expert", or so they say. Of course the band
teacher who seems to be pressing all this runs the worst high school
band in the area, and is generally considered the "black hole" of music
by everyone who has anything to do with music (i.e. I've never heard
anyone say anything good about the instrumental program there). So....
