Subj: [DR-L] Terrible Tone?

So, I have an Oboe student who did an audition for honor band. And the
Oboe "expert" told her band teacher she played great, except she had
terrible tone. Now, she's only been playing 8 months. I think it sounds
pretty good (needs a little more vibrato).

Opinions?

I really think she and this band teachers are in collusion together to
try to have her switch teachers. This teacher tends to take students
from other teachers from what I hear.
