In days of old when glass fiber was very expensive and unavailable in
me home country, the substitute most widely used was "sisal" fiber
used in the manufacture of cloth, rope and such; and for the
manufacture of small boat hulls, the binder of course was polyester
or similar polymer, if carbon fiber is "too britle"maybe someone
ought to try this (Sisal) combo...
