I can assure you that the present group with whom I am playing ,are
extremely talented musicians who are far from amateurs but I believe
everyone is playing louder and louder.
My aging ears still have fine memories of the late Henry Schuman playing his
lovely oboe softer and the orchestra following suit in one his last
concerts in NYC,
Instruments are made to blast away more than ever and in comparison to our
enemies those glaring guitars and drums, they are not loud enough for many
younger players,I believe.
