Harold,

Why don't you make yourself a large "stand tray" and attach it to the mast
of your music stand? Angle it so that it's at about a 45 degree angle to the
floor. I would imagine it will result in a large increase in the amount of
your sound that reaches the front.

Also, you might want to put the top of your music stand as low as you
possibly can and put it as close to parallel to the floor as you can
tolerate. Sort of like "big band" style.

These things you can do without drawing too much attention to yourself or
inspiring complaints from other wind players.
