Just curious; what symptoms does he have?
I have recurring eczema outbreaks, mostly on my upper lip. I use medication
that clears it up quickly (non-steroidal). Without it, playing would be
uncomfortable & sometimes painful. If untreated, eczema causes the skin to
crack. One can tell whether it's eczema & not just chapped lips bc chapped
lips will heal with lip balm; eczematous skin needs to be treated with
medication of some kind. I don't go anywhere without a tube of some kind of
lip balm.
I wouldn't think anything could adequately substitute for arundo donax, else
more would be using it.
