Maybe Herb doesn't see a difference using a light plaque versus a 75w
unfrosted bulb, because both of his blades are perfectly identical! But
I still maintain that only with a light plaque will you clearly see
differences between the blades of a reed.

And the only difference a lower wattage bulb might affect is if the cane
is too translucent and doesn't show a scrape well at a higher wattage.
It can't solve the problem of seeing the composite of two scrapes.
